Apex Women’s Robyn – Black
Lightweight, comfortable womens work shoes like the Apex Robyn in Black are the perfect combination of therapeutic comfort and real world function. The supple leather upper features contrast stitching with floral cutout designs for a touch of elegance while a traditional lacing system with reinforced eyelets create a secure fit. To keep feet feeling fresh, a fabric lined interior wicks away moisture while a roomy toe box and 5/16″ of total depth provide plenty of space for a variety of foot types; removalbe insole and footbed spacer allow for the use of prescribed orthotics. THe Apex Robyn work shoes for women are built with a firm heel counter for walking support and a SATRA certified slip-resistant outsole for maxium traction in the work place or wherver life takes you!
What is Slip Resistance?
- There are currently no “pass/fail” requirements for slip resistance testing – only general industry standards
- On a scale where 0.0 is the absence of friction and 1.0 is very high friction, a higher score means better slip resistance
- A slip resistance value of 0.50 on wet vinyl floors is generally classified as slip resistant
- The US footwear industry quotes a value minimum 0.25 to 0.30 as a safety margin for outsoles tested on quarry tile floors that are greasy, oily, and wet
- The Diabetic Shoes HuB does not guarantee this shoe to be 100% slip resistant under every surface condition and recognizes there is no absolute standard for a slip resistant rating
